A New Rise

The very first day of the New Year.

The first morning. The first rays of light.

A fresh new day has arrived, wiping away all the troubles and confusions of the past year.

If we had stumbled, this day gives us the courage to rise again with determination.

It is an auspicious day to bow before the Almighty and seek blessings for happiness in the coming year.

Who in this world is completely happy? No one.

Who is entirely free from sorrow? No one.

That is why today is the day to set aside our small sorrows and wholeheartedly welcome the abundant joys that await us.

Some people left us in the past year. That was painful.

Yet, if they are watching me from somewhere, I want to live in such a way that my actions and achievements bring them joy.

This is the day to take such a sincere vow.

Time spares no one—it comes to all.

We must make the best use of the opportunities we are given.

For that, today is the day to offer a prayer to the rising Sun with folded hands, asking for awareness and wisdom.

Mistakes may have happened in the past year; some decisions may have gone wrong—let it be.

Accepting responsibility for those mistakes, accepting the punishments destiny may have given, and then proving our humanity once again—this beautiful gift from the Creator is what we call the New Year.

Just as a deck of fresh cards is shuffled and shared with friends,

the Creator has placed before us 365 cards from His deck of infinite days.

The very first card is January 1.

Whatever card falls into our share, we must neither be overjoyed nor disheartened, because the card will keep turning.

Who knows when the ‘ace of triumph’ may suddenly land in our hands!

Until then, the joy and gratitude of simply being in the game matters most.

To fall yet rise again, the spirit of “If we survive, we will fight again” is essential.

In the noise of people, some faces will stay in memory, some will require watchfulness, and some will target us—we must learn to evade them.

But above all, we must ensure that our focus never wavers from our goal.

Let us embrace the New Year with these truths etched in our hearts.

Let us cherish those who understand the sorrow behind our smiles, the love behind our anger, and the reason behind our silence—without needing explanation.

And in the coming year, let us write a new chapter of success, joy, and health.
